Free-range Eggs: 2 pieces

Cake Flour: 130g

Lard: 30g

Milk: 100g

Baking Powder: 7g

1. Prepare all ingredients.

2. Beat room temperature eggs until well blended.

3. Add granulated sugar.

4. Add room temperature milk and melted lard.

5. Stir evenly with a whisk.

6. Sift in cake flour and baking powder.

7. Stir into a smooth, lump-free egg batter.

8. Brush a layer of oil inside the mold.

9. Pour the batter into the mold and let it rest for 15 minutes to allow the baking powder to activate more effectively.

10. Once the water boils, steam for 25 minutes, then remove from heat and invert the mold to release the cake.

11. Place the demolded Malay cake on a board while still warm, slice, and serve.
